It's taken me 4 years, and I still have extra skin and the stretch marks are still visible, though they look like wrinkles now rather than red lines, but this <
(see profile pic) is how I look now, after a lot of circuit training and planks and sit ups.
  • you look great hey im totally ok if ther is a lil pouch hah.. just want to dramatically reduce it in size hah :) thanks for the reply

Sorry I can't post a bigger pic! I am a bit rubbish at this technology thing.

I have a Mommy pooch (and I've only have one kid) and I've noticed after doing a lot of ab workouts (I've been doing Shaun T's hip hop abs) the pooch is starting to shrink. So try some ab exercises! Give it a little bit. If you still have that Mommy pooch, you may wind up having to have surgery (after you have all of your kids first), because some of us women just don't have enough elasticity for our bellies to ever be flat again! :( I hope this isn't the case for you, and i certainly hope this isn't the case for me!

I had a baby 12 weeks ago and my belly was huge afterbirth. I guess I ignorantly thought that it would snap back the day after... ha! I am new to here, but did want to tell you that my tummy has gone down a lot. I still have a way to go--but--I am doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred and doing as much cardio as my little one will let me. It will improve... I keep saying that to myself. :)

Unfortunately, the only way I'll be able to really lose mine is with surgery, because I had twins and the skin stretched too much. But I'll get to my goal weight first and strengthen my core as much as possible. I don't have any problems with having a tummy tuck, but it's the recuperation that I'm afraid of. It sounds like you can't do much (even get out of bed) for quite a while, and with twin toddlers, that seems impossible!

I think I've successfully lost it, though I do still have some loose skin. I've had five kids- all five c-sections. I gained 70+ lbs with my first and about 40-50 with the others though I was able to lose most of it after their birth.

I watch what I eat and exercise and I'm not afraid to wear a bikini :)

thank you :) I did lots of cardio on the elliptical to burn the fat off my belly (and elsewhere) and then followed up with sit ups and strength training on our bowflex. The key for me was the strength training. I think it really helped me strengthen my core, and therefore my abs.

I have that saggy pouch too.. I have a 3 and half year old and 7 month old.. It is a saggy w and i hate it.. Right now as im not exercising alot im wearing a tummy sucker to help me feel confident. Ive lost the bulk of my weight (almost 17 pounds) just through having a calorie deficeit..I am hoping that once i start exercising it will tone right up.. My tummy was flatter 2 months after my first son was born than it is now..
Just remember that everyone is different- and unfortunately we dont all have great genetics to bounce back like others.. Yes i know hard work is factored in, dont get me wrong but some women are simply very lucky and its all predetermined..
    Good luck on your journey!

I still have mine but I have just started my journey too. I am thinking I am probably limited with how far I can take it with exercise as I have had 3 C Sections and not quite sure how much if at all that will effect toning etc in that area. Still going to try! Will see where it takes me and then decide what to do if I need to :)

**Edit** Just seen the pic of the lady with 5 C Sections! I am feeling hopeful!!!
  • I just joined and I'm working on it. My son is 5 months so hopefully the belly will be gone soon. I only gained 8lbs during pregnancy, but the inches are causing me strife. They do not want to go away!! Hopefully this program works for me. Good luck ladies!
