From what I've heard, they say its best to eat more in the morning and eat less in the afternoon. Is this true? If it is why is this way better then eating a little in the morning and later? Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question

It doesn't matter, total calorie and macro intake are far more important than meal frequency and meal timing.0

I find it easiest to maintain my caloric goals by eating most of my calories at night.0

whenever you're the hungriest!! total cal for the day is what matters most, not WHEN you eat. your body cant tell time. if you google Pauline Nordin, she eats 1000/1800 of her calories before bed. i eat a 500 calorie dinner... some people prefer larger breakfasts...whenever YOU want to eat0

HMMMMMM. When you are your hungriest.0 -
Try a few different things to see what makes you feel good. There is no right or wrong, you just have to work out what helps you stay on track with eating right.
For me - I seem to do best if I have a decent sized breakfast. If I skip it or don't have much, I'm starving later in the day.
That doesn't mean that's right for you though,0 -

I've heard mornings, too. If your body is at a calorie deficit during the night hours when you're sleeping, then you're burning fat. If you're asking if you can split the big morning meal into two smaller meals, then absolutely! Your metabolism will burn hottest when you're feeding it every couple of hours. Now, don't eat full meals every couple of hours, but rather snacks.
Try Bob Harper's book "The Skinny Rules" which honestly, I haven't read yet. But it gets high praises!0 -
I feel like the mornings are better for me too, the only thing is I can't eat too too early or else I actually get sick0

However the advantage of having a heavy breakfast is to make you satiated & preventing you from making bad food choices come lunch time & dinner. Plus we need to fuel ourselves in the morning after many hours of not eating (hence the word breakfast, as in break a fast). Personally I'm a heavy breakfast eater & consider it as my main meal of the day.0
