Sometimes stressful days and negitive thoughts and emotions can trigger my binge eating habits at night, and I don't call that a relaxation exercise. What helps you? I find yoga and a warm soak in the tub w/ bubbles or scented salts help..what do you do?

Some things that really help me are...
Listening to music.
Hot showers.
Driving in the car.
Some sort of workout.
A glass of wine.
Otherwise I will do the whole emotional eating which sets of a string of more so I have tried really hard not to let that happen lol0 -

I pick up a guitar if one is handy. Sometimes I even get to the stage of playing it.
Or a glass of wine if the hour is late.
A decent walk is also always a winner.0 -
I live a fairly stressful life and so not surprisingly I was overeating, smoking and drinking alcohol to calm myself down.
Now I either workout, or watch TV, or cook or clean or read books or get online and browse around or get back to my computer roots.
Basically I try to keep myself occupied and remind myself that stressing over isn't gonna help, overeating/smoking/drinking isn't gonna help0 -
A hot bath with lavender oil in it while listening to relaxing music0

I totally pamper myself once a week or when I need it.
A full DIY Mani/Pedi.
A mositurizing face mask.
Nice cup of tea.
Sappy movie.
That's all I need to feel restored & relaxed.
If none of that works, I go work out until I'm too exhausted to be stressed.0 -

Music always makes me feel better, working out, beer, making jewelry, cards or a painting usually does well for me, it really just depends on the day!0

Run, run, run, run... and run some more. Or sprint swimming until you can't swim any more. Depends really if it's angry-stressed or down-in-the-dumps-stressed. If it's the latter then a hot bath, squish cuddle with the puppy or cat, or see friends and chat0
