''never try to be the person u want to be ''

That makes no sense. Why wouldn't you strive to be the person you want to be?? Isn't that what we're all doing to a degree now?

I think it means to BE the person you want to be... not to try to be that person...

I have two quotes but, they are not really standard verbal speech or written quotes... These are song lyric excerpts from two songs by my favorite pop artist:

    (1) "I won't give up on my life..." From a song called "Marry The Night."

    (2) "Don't hide yourself in regret..." From a song called "Born This Way."

Maybe not the greatest words in human history, but they are good words to live by so to speak...

If you haven't puked, fainted or died you can still keep going. Now shut up and do it.

I like the "There will never be a better time than now" -Mxpx from Amandakent0585!

    One I think of is:

    "Never give up, never surrender"

and a simple one we've all heard:

    "You can do it!"

I have a ton of them and choose a different one to use during my workout every day.

Pain is weakness leaving the body
    Rest when you’re dead
    Squats are better than supplements
    Suck it up buttercup
    Punish your weakness
That’s not sweat. It’s my body crying.
    I don’t use machines, I am a machine
Every time a girl deadlifts an angel gets their wings
    Can’t breathe. Can’t move. Can’t get enough.
Blood is replaceable. Sweat is expected. Tears are optional.
Train not to suck at life
World domination one workout at a time
Run. Jump. Lift. Squat. Puke. Repeat.
    Who needs oxygen?
Train insane or remain the same!
Blood, sweat and tears are inevitable… puking is optional.
There is only stronger or weaker.
Sacrifice is a virtue. Salvation is a crutch.
I fear no one. But I fear my workout. If I don’t fear my workout, then it isn’t hard enough.
I will give everything I have. And then I will find more within myself.
Trample the weak. Hurdle the dead.
Stop making excuses. No one is listening.
    Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.
You can cry, just don’t be a baby about it.
    Be your own hero
    Old body… R.I.P. New body… R.I.P.P.E.D.
You know you worked hard when you start seeing dead relatives.
Fitness goals are fitness dreams with deadlines.
Getting fit is the most important thing I will do in my life.
The lightness of athleticism is an attainable goal.
I am already strong. I’m getting stronger.
I control of what I put in my body.
Do it the hard way. No shortcuts!
It’s not up to anyone else to make me give my best.
The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in my determination.
Be better than the day before.
There are only two options regarding commitment; you’re either in or you’re out. There’s no such thing as life in-between.
I am done being unhealthy. I am changing my life.
I am capable of much more than I realize.
Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever.
I never regret when I do it, but I always regret when I don’t.
I meet the challenge every day.
I am supple, sculpted and fit.
I am strong, agile and athletic.
I am achieving the body I want.
    Food is fuel, not pleasure.
Work will win when wishing won’t.

I have a few (some repeats of others):

    1. They can because they think they can.
    2. Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.
    3. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. (I keep thinking about the truth of this).
    4. In the end what we regret most are the chances we never took. (hope I don't have a lot of those regrets).
    5. Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're right. (paraphrased but this is my favorite).
