Soy Yogurt Question

Hi Guys - I am trying to cut some of the dairy out of my diet and have incorporated organic Soy yogurt (lactose free/dairy free) a few times last week. My question is what do you consider soy - a vegetable, grain, etc. I am also trying make sure I eat more fruits and veggies and whole grains in my diet and I am not sure what category Soy yogurt would fall into. Thanks so much for your time and enjoy your Friday!!:flowerforyou:

I would count it as a dairy replacement, not vegetable or grain.0

I eat quite a lot of soy yoghurts and the nutritional values vary quite a lot..
Look out for ones that are higher in fibre and also non-sweetened versions (using berries or a bit of honey to sweeten is better for you I think).
Soy is also quite a good source of protein
Oh also, technically soy yoghurts come from soy beans, so you could say it's a grain/pulse of sorts.
good luck!!!0 -
Thanks!! I will have to look for the unsweetened versions as mentioned and add my own berries. Then I know I would be getting a serving of fruit:happy:0
