Post Workout meals

I came a crossed an article about, 5 quick meals that you should eat after a workout. To save you the time of reading the article... I will just post the 5 here


½ cup low-fat cottage cheese + whole grain crackers

Orange + ¼ cup almonds

6-ounce non-fat yogurt + ½ cup whole grain cereal

Apple + part skim cheese stick

Scoop of protein powder mixed with juice or skim milk

But, I pose the question; What is your after workout meal?

    Some nice suggestions there, personally I find it hard to eat straight after a workout. Rather than a meal, I follow my workout with a shake. If its was a cardio session I'll just have a protein shake, if it was a weights session I'll add a simple carb like dextrose to it. Then just eat a meal 45mins/hr later containing a complex carb :)
