MFP calorie goals confusing?

So I updated my weight progress this morning, and got a friendly reminder that I apparently had not updated my goals in over 10 lbs, and if I wanted MFP to do this for me automatically - of course I said sure, why not. However I've found that it's updated my calorie goal from 1330 net, to 1260 net per day, which seems very low to me. Does anyone have any advice on what to do here? I am thinking of just sticking with my old net, and see where it gets me..

Well if you are 10 lbs lighter then your calorie requirements are going to be less............it's only 70 calories different.

    Seems ok to me.

Well if you are continuing to lose weight on your current intake, then by all means continue as you were. But you will reach a plateau are some point where you will have to change it. I don't use the calorie/macros this site gives you personally.

Where do you have your weight loss goal set?

Not sure I understand - 'where' as in which weight per week? I was aiming to maintain my 1.5 lbs loss per week, it's gone perfectly according to plan so far for the past 10 weeks.

Sorry about the wording (I knew even as I posted that it was odd), but yes, that's what I meant. If you feel your new calorie goals aren't going to be enough, you will have to adjust your loss goals to be a little less. No other way around it. As I said to someone else a couple days ago, you can always set up custom goals and shoot for somewhere in between -- maybe set it to 1300, so you'll lose 1.2 lb/week or something.

Yes I was thinking about doing that, after I saw that changing to 1 lb / week I am allowed a whopping 1510. Somewhere in between will be good, along the lines of my previous one. This stuff can always be adjusted anyway, so I am not really sweating it too much right now. Just the fact that 1260 is so low that it starts getting hard to work with at all, you know.

I definitely could not voluntarily do less than 1300 for more than a couple days :P My tummy would get mad.
