Insanity and weight lifting

I was hoping to get some advice or thoughts from people who have done Insanity or programs like it. For the past 3 months I've been working on lifting, basically a modified Stronglifts program. Now some friends at work are planning on doing Insanity together. I think it would be really fun to join in with them and the extra motivation from having a group of us doing the same workout can only help.
But my question is, would I be able to do Insanity but also keep up with my lifting? I don't want to lose the strength I've gained, and from what I understand Insanity is mostly just cardio.

It depends on how much time you have, and how much rest you can get. I did it for my first round of Insanity, and I'm doing it again this round. I do modify Insanity on chest days, where I will run or do other things instead of the pushups. Listen to your body, doing this for most people is right on, if not over the edge of overtraining.0

Thanks! I guess I will plan on lifting a few days a week, but just kinda wait and see how my body reacts to it. Good to know it's been done though0
