Hey guys my name is Mike A. I was deployed to Afghanistan in 2009/2010 I spent a total of one year there. It's coming up on my two year home anniversary in November and well I haven't been the same. After being injuried in combat I lost all motivation to stay healthy. I was fit at 165 but now I am pudgy at 190, oh ya I am 23 yrs old and I have a 6momth old son. I feel as if I don't start excusing and eating right I will not be able to do things for myself, son & wifem.
I have a hard time doing work outs because I like to procrastinate a lot now. My goal is to become fit again and lose 20lbs. I would really like for some friends and motivators.
I do apologize for my little book but I have never reached out for help before thank you for your time!

Hi Mike....way to go buddy!0

First, a huge thank you for your service.
Second, I lost a lot of weight simply by pushing my daughter in her stroller every morning and night. As she got bigger I bought a bike seat and took her on bike rides. My point is that maybe you can keep a commitment to spending that time with your son.
Third, maybe you can find a group of guys and start by doing something fun like basketball. Once you start having fun working out will get easier.0
