Ice Cream Made With Coconut Milk

Has anyone tried the new ice cream made from coconut milk? I tried the mint chocolate chip and the vanilla bean(had a slight coconut aftertaste) they were both really good, I could not stop and ate the whole pint. The vanilla pint was about 600cal, and the mint was a little over that. really good stuff, no dairy, no soy, really good. You should all try it. I am going for the chocolate next. Wish me luck.

    I bought the mini fudgesickles. That way I just eat one small portion at a time. Very good!

    I buy Luna and Larry's. I like it a lot, especially their dark chocolate.

    LOVE it!! I tried the So Delicious Cookies and Cream flavor! Amazing!! I have also tried Trader Joe's in the strawberry flavor and Coconut Bliss in "Naked" which means coconut!

    I make mine with one frozen banana and unsweetened coconut milk. You can add in some agave or coconut sugar, but most of the time it doesn't need it. 92 calories for 1/2 C.

    I found them at WalMart. Here in Delaware, they are about $5 a pint.

    You get so many more choices over there in the USA.
    The Uk is really rubbish for getting this sort of thing. Heck, we only just got frozen yoghurt in mainstream stores here recently, it is ridiculous.

    I get it for my hubby! I buy the So Delicious, and Trader Joe's has coconut milk ice cream now too - chocolate and strawberry. He likes them much better than the soy or almond milk alternatives.

    Hmm, I had not heard of this. Ingredients look great, the coconut products are non-GMO certified, and So Delicious is owned by Turtle Mountain, which is a good company. I'm hoping I can find the flavors that sound really appealing (Green Tea, Turtle Trails, Passionate Mango and German Chocolate).

    I love So Delicious. I used to eat it all the time last summer but the prices for it went up at my grocery store. It's like $7 a pint :(

    Good call. I need to check out our Farmer's Market on Sunday. My husband would be thrilled if I made ice cream. I need to make coconut milk this weekend anyway so it will be ready to go when our new yogurt maker arrives on Tuesday.

    You can get some in the UK, but not in big stores, try coyo.co.uk and look on their locator...they make yogurt and ice-cream. It's very good! :wink:
