My 7 week old kitten passed away last night

My bigger cat, Lucy, is meowing and looking all over for her at her usual hiding spots. She hasn't given up all night. It's really breaking my heart.

    Thank you, yes, I'm struggling right now. I'm even having trouble breathing right now, it's pretty brutal

    I'm so sorry about your little kitty, that's so hard on you and her mum Lucy, they really do become part of the family and it's tragic and so painful when we lose them.

    I lost my cat of 8 years a few weeks ago. It is hard.

    That is so sad! I know the gut wrenching sadness of losing a pet (I cried so hard for hours after my neighbors brought me one cat after she'd been hit by a car), but I've never gone through losing a kitten. That seems like it would be even worse. Watching an animal miss another animal is very hard too. Maybe when you feel it is the right time you can her another companion cat that might help the both of you.

    I'm so sorry.

    My almost 8 year old cat has been missing for a few weeks. The giant red-tailed hawk (he's almost the size of an eagle) that lives around our neighborhood probably got her.

    Ohhh, poor little kitty and poor you :frown: She was a cutie. At least you were able to give her good love and care while she was alive. I grew up on a farm and a lot of my kitties died when I was younger, sometimes in not-very-nice circumstances, and I always got very upset about it. I never became desensitized. It's very hard to lose a pet.

    Sorry for you loss. It sucks, I have lost many pets over the years and I still morn over them. Take care. I have 7 little kitten right now, if I was close I would give you one.
