I noticed that I tend to go way over my daily protein allowance. I can't seem to stay under because I eat a lot of chicken. Do you think that could be a problem?

Not necessarily, it depends on your goals too. For instance, my daily protein is set to like 136 through MFP's default. Well, I'm trying to gain muscle, so my actual goal is to take in 250-300 grams of protein per day. I go at least 1 gram per lb of body weight, for me that would be around 235 grams minimum. Now even though I've actually gained a ton of strength and muscle, I've still managed to lose weight lately simply because I can't get my overall calories high enough.
What is yours set at and how much over are you averaging? Also, are your goals only weight loss?0 -
Thanks for the info. They have me set at 60g which I think is too low for me. I will take your advice and set the default higher (I didn't know you could do that) I want muscle which will help me burn the fat, right.0
