    One of the things that motivated me to lose weight and get in shape was seeing an exhibit called "Body World." It shows the inner workings of the human body preserved using plastics. Very educational. One of the exhibits showed body cross sections. The bodies were thin, not-so-thin and morbidly obese. The amount of pressure and distortion on vital organs in the latter was eye-opening. Made one wonder how these organs were able to even operate. I also remember showing my kids, who were in elementary school at the time, exhibits of lungs from smokers and non-smokers. That may be one reason why neither of them smoke.
