please only answer if you know about heart rate monitors and calorie burning....
i feel like i burn more than my heart rate monitor reads during spin because it is a lot of resistance training. so i thought that i maybe burn more because of the muscles i'm working?? I know its like that for strength training.
Thanks for any advice!!!

I wonder about this as well. My spin bike tells me that I am burning about 600 calories in 60 mins, where my HRM (duo 1010 women's) said I burned 431. That is a difference of 169 calories. I do a lot of standing and resistance while riding, so I hope the HRM is reading on the low side.0

The HRM will be more accurate! The machines give an extremely higher number.0

My HRM said I burned 44 calories during Ab Ripper X last night. While I didn't believe that I would have a huge burn, but dang! I would have thought it was more than 44 calories!0
