I say dieting, I really mean a new lifestyle but it didn't look as good as a subject lol.

I love dieting because I feel in control of myself. I don't feel guilty, I know where I am and I know where I'm going.

I don't get stressed, I feel healthier, happier, sexier.

Before I would say 'f*** it I will eat another bar, slice, packet'. Now I say 'do I really need/want it?'.

I don't feel like I'm rescricting myself - I haven't had a craving in forever!

I LOVE exercise - where did that come from!? I was lazy, lethargic. Now I have energy and confidence.

I push myself, I get sweaty, I burn calories.

I can do it! So can you :)

Love this! Hope I can enjoy exercise one day, hoping as I get thinner it will seem less hard work?? Having a 19month old & 5 week old to keep upto all day may also be why I don't feel energised & ready to go for a run in the evenings? lol At the moment just trying to make the most of any sunshine to get out walking with the pram & hopefully build up my fitness! Good luck on the rest of your journey :)

This is a fantastic attitude and one with which I totally agree.

While I am watching what I eat, counting cals and exercising I feel energised, happy, sleep better and in control. Mostly for me it is about control.

I am going through a ****ty divorce and have two small boys, work pretty much full time and have a lovely but difficult new partner which is in very early days and also quite stressful... However, when I am eating right and exercising I can cope with all this and still smile at the end of the day.

I too say to myself, do I want this? why do I want this? what will happen if I have this? Should I have / do something else? that way most of the time the urge passes and I maintain control.

Keep it up everyone, it is worth it. I know I have lost 8 stones and kept it off for nearly 5 years now...
