How do I make the numbers work with my health issue

Hi,
I have by pass Artery issures. What my cardiologest wants is for me to walk at a "going for a walk pace" and then when I see there is an area to sit a short distance away to push a little speed until I feel begining angina and then sit. I am to do that over and over for half an hour. It helps your heart create new small by pass arteries. I do not think that burns the kind of calories your set up figures.
How do I make this work. I also use a peddler 4 mornings a week for 30 minutes, but not at a hard speed or a hard push. But Ihave been doing that for years. I am 71 year old female, still work, and am very healthy in every other way.
I just want to make the numbers work.

The easiest thing would be an HRM. There are free pedometer apps that you can use on your smart phone too. Just be consistent. If you walk 15, sit 5 then you log it as 20.0

The easiest thing to do would be to adjust your activity level to "Active." This would cover this type of exercise as part of your daily routine. Then just enter the minutes you spend walking but adjust the calories to zero because you've already accounted for them.0

The question is do you have patience to let little arteries veins etc form and get larger I started at 367 pounds and if I could do 15 minutes it was a milestone day I did a block out and a block back and progressed slowly I wasnt on MFP back then but I kept at it every day I could and lost 60 pounds the first year and kept improving and increasing distance speed and fitness My pressure dropped my HR dropped as I went now I consider a 4 miler routine 4 years plus a month later I use a HRM every time I jog talk to my Drs and get my checkups now its 150 pounds off and 50 to go no rush at 64 I am a young man now0 -
Thank You for your reply's. Will keep at it. I have the patience to let the little artieries form, and with 5 kids and 13 grandkids a strong desire to do what is necessary to be able to watch them grow up.0
