Hey guys, I'm looking into buying an elliptical trainer in the next month or two. I want to get feedback on any that you have liked or disliked if you don't mind. I don't want a super high end one, but I expect to put out a little bit of $$$$ on it. My gym membership ends next month and I hardly go because of lack of time to go do it. Instead of renewing my membership I want to buy an elliptical so please help!

  • Hey! Someone just posted this same question the other day. Search in the topics area for feedback. I have a Sole55 and love it, not a fan of profrom.

Been reading a lot of reviews lately on Ellipticals. If I were to get one right now I'd get the Sole E35. I've been reading consumer reports and the machine holds up the best for the money. The comment above mine, KimberlyKurtz, says she has the Sole E55. I didn't read anything about it, but heard a lot of good things about the Sole brand equipment so I'd go with that.

I have a Sole E55 and it is great! I love love love it! It is definitely worth the money...but....If I had the money to spend again I think I would go with the Bowflex treadclimber. Although I like the low-impact of the elliptical, sometimes my feet tend to fall asleep and I have to pick them up as I run on the elliptical to get the feeling back. You are doing the same repetitive motion with your feet yet not doing the traditional 'heel to toe' movement. I would love the tread climber because it is truly like you are walking and you can go as fast with as much resistance as you want. Anything with the Sole name on it is made with reliability.
  • I've had my Proform for two years now and its great! Nothing ever broke and the assembly was easy. I paid about $570 for it. I really like it and must say it is a good machine. Good luck, though! I would go to some stores that have displays and get on them and try them out. Thats the best way to do it. What works for me might not work for you. Happy shopping!
