New Car: Challenger, Charger, or Camaro
I'm starting to look for a new car because I need to buy one by the end of December. I really want something sporty and I've been thinking about the new Camaro, Challenger, or Charger. I'm just curious who has any of these cars and what they think so far. Are you happy with it? Major problems? Fun to drive? Other comments appreciated too, thanks!

My 3 favorite cars!! Whichever you get it's sexy!!!0
-
Mustang0

I've driven all 3. While the Camaro is a purely sexual experience, it's a bit common... The Charger is your modern muscle, but again, becoming quite common. Now the Challenger? Mmm, better get leather seats so they're easier to clean!
(And a manual transmission is mandatory)0 -
i vote challenger, i just love the way it looks.. much sexier than a mustang.. the camero is fun too.. but mostly i'm for the challenger..
definitely get a stick...0 -
Challenger is a nice ride and of course manual!!!!!0

DO NOT get a Camaro Convertible. Tons of problems with the tops. A friend of mine has one and his lives at the dealership because of it.0

Mustang
this^^^^ GT or Boss 302 or if you got the cash GT 5000 -
Are we talking about the NEW cars or the classic ones?
Put around in a classic muscle car and I melt like butter...Those new remake types just don't do it for me. There's just something about the classics that are oh-so-sexy.0 -
I wanted a Charger, but it was a bit too expensive for me at the time, so I opted for the "little brother" in the family and got an Avenger. Fun little ride, and even with a 4-cylinder, I have trouble staying under the speed limit on the highway. I can only imagine how many tickets I'd get if I could have afforded the Charger!0

Yes, talking about the new models that are built after the old muscle cars.
Unfortunately I think I can only afford the Camaro 2LS, or the basic Challenger or Charger. I love that new red color available for the two Dodge cars.
Nice call on the Camaro convertible, I'm not big into the convertible anyway but I appreciate the warning.0 -

Brief pause while I change my avatar...here's my 66 Mustang GT, owned it for 21 years now0 -
I own a 67 Mustang nothing like it. If you are looking for a classic buy a mustang.0

Challenger, because i want one soooo bad! But any of the three would be awesome.0
-
I'd have to say Camaro.
Two reasons
#1 the Charger and Challenger piss me off because Chargers are supposed to have two doors and Challengers are supposed to have 4 WTH??!?!!?!?!?
#2 A co-worker had a silver Camaro and it was the hottest thing ever.0 -
I vote Challenger! We are looking at getting a Caliber soon and saw the Challenger while we were test driving and it is so bad *kitten* looking!!0
-
Whatever you do, please test drive a Subaru too. If you want a car for a "sports car" look, it doesn't matter what you get. If you want seriously sporty performance, get a Subaru.
My brother-in-law got a Camaro in March. He thought long and hard about it (but didn't go test drive anything else), and custom ordered it. Still, the novelty had worn off within a week. He's afraid to drive it and put wear on it. It stays in his garage while he drives his equally impractical (for his purposes) Jeep.0 -

Challenger. Just...yeah...Challenger. lol Sorry, got caught in a day dream there!0

Camaros are for girls lol...I have a 06 Charger SRT-8. Love it...if u have kids or people riding with u often, I'd be a fool not to opt for 4 doors. SRT8 best way to go, 425 hp.... But I've added a better CAI, long tube headers, Magnaflow hi-flow exhaust, and a diablo supertuner.
Saw someone say camaros are "sexual"...an SRT-8 is sinister.0 -

Chally had 2 doors as well...FYI Daisy's car (not the jeep) was a chally. They were 2 diff chassis. The coronet was the 4dr car that was on same chassis as charger0 -
Couple years ago, I looked at all 3 and brought the Camaro home.
2010, 2SS, 426hp, 6 speed manual. Great car.0 -
Camaro ZL1. They're putting it down as far as HP is concerned. Than again Mustangs have improved HEAPS in all around driving experience. They handle beautifully, great in a strait line, and are finally able to more efficiently put power to the rears.
The downside of all of those cars is just that typical...cheap..target quality interior. They're trying to be cutting edge..in all the wrong ways.
I considered all of those vehicles before settling on the 335i. It's got just about everything I want in a car except an LSD, which I added on myself. It rips hard as hell and I can still get groceries or go on dates without compromising anything.

One of the magazines did a triple "Head to head" with the
Camaro
Mustang
Challanger.
The Camaro one every single contest except braking (Mustang).
However, although the Challanger finished last, all of the testers still liked the feel and looks of the Challanger best and, if given the choice, they would buy the Challanger.0 -
Deff the CHALLENGER!!!!! Men look so strong and desirable in it. Lol Real men drive muscle cars.0
-
I prefer my Challenger R/T...hoping to upgrade to the SRT8 for next year0

Camaro.

One thing that I read is that the Challenger doesn't handle all that great unless you get the better suspension, which isn't really expensive anyway. I also read that the Camaro's visibility is rather poor. I was looking at one next to me on the road the other day and I can see why with how the windows are setup.
The Mustang would be an option if I had more money to spend. I don't care for the basic Mustang and would have to go with one of the higher-end models. Although if I had more money I would probably opt for the Challenger R/T or Camaro 2SS.
Overally I'm looking for one of the new muscle cars, otherwise I'd probably look at Audi. LOL0 -
Camaro is an automatic...not a "Muscle Car"
Charger is cool, but a 4 door... not a "Muscle Car"
Mustangs are ...well....mustangs.....high school graduation gifts for girls...
That leaves the Challanger! Or a Corvette ZR-1 if you have the scratch...0
