I'm so proud of myself!

I went to a going away cook-out party for my good friend, Kisha. There was tons of food there and I didn't go hog wild. I had what I wanted --- a hot dog, some baked beans and macaroni salad --- and this is what I'm the most proud of myself about, They had a ton a desserts there. I won't mention what they were because I don't want to torture anyone, but there were at least eight different desserts to choose from and although I could've had whatever I wanted I only took one half of one dessert. There was a day when I would've had one of each and thought nothing of it. I came home tonight after the party and did a tally of everything I ate today and I stayed under my calorie limit --- Only by less than a hundred calories, but I stayed under. I'm so proud of myself!

I know it's not easy! So good on you, you did so well!
  • isn't it funny thinking about yourself, say 6 months ago, thinking 'i wouldn't have given it a second thought before I ate that'. I think how much beer I used to drink without calorie counting. if I was going out for a night on the town I could've easily had 10 stubbies without thinking......that's over my daily calories wihtout even counting the kebab at 2am, or the maccas for breakfast and lunch the next day to ease the hangover

And you should be ! That is exactly what we should be doing. Stop focusing on what we do bad and focus on all the good choices. Well done!

I am still struggling in the self control department when cheese cake is staring back at me. Other than that I am so very fine.
