I don't have the bands or the pull up bar, is there anything I can do to substitute these, or am I just screwed in being able to do this program?

Bands are cheap, you don't need the Beachbody bands. I used a pullup bar from Walmart to do the whole program. I paid 29.99 for it.0

Yes, you need one or the other. It's an important part of it.
The bands are mega cheap. I got a whole set of them on Amazon for like $10.0 -
Well I guess I am screwed then, because I don't have money for the accessories. Can't spend money that I don't have. Literally.0

Yes you need one or the other. I have a mix that I bought from target. Some exercises I use bands others weights. This program is a lot of weight lifting. Without them you won't be actually doing the program.
Also, I don't have the pull up bar either. You can get a strap that hooks your bands to a door or hook. They show this in the video's as an alternative to the pull up bar.0 -

Do you need the pull up bar and bands? No, can you improvise? YES.
Do a search on youtube and you will find plenty of ways to do a pull up with improvised household items, such as a kitchen table, etc.
Regarding the bands, you can also improvise if you have light dumbbells (check craigslist for people giving them away) or using moderately heavy (to you) items.
Now, with all that being said, will you see different results from P90X, of course, the whole workout is tailored towards eating exactly what they tell you and working out with the methods they tell you. As long as you have it in your head to push yourself and see SOME results, well, then go for it.
Biggest thing with P90X is to eat according to their plan (or close to it) - the workouts, they are in a specific order, with specific times and intensities. Keep to those and you should be good. The system wont work if you just eat whatever and half-*kitten* the workouts, you know? You get out of it what you put into it.0 -
I did regular dumbbell rows for those. My doorways are kinda arched so the bar was out of a question and I didn't really want to spend money on the bands.0
