Zumba and/or Kettle Bell DVDS

Does anyone have any recommendations for either a Zumba DVD or a Kettle Bell DVD? I hate to just buy blindly not knowing if they are good or not.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

  • OMG get Bob Harper's kettlebell cardio shred...not sure of the exact name, but just google it. He sells it through his website for $5 and I got mine at Target for a similar price. It combines awesome kettlebell moves with crazy cardio moves-you'll be dying (in the best possible way) by the end of it. Brutal! :)

The Zumba DVDs are only available direct from distributor as a series (like Insanity/P90X). Kettleworx isn't really kettlebell training. It's more like traditional cardio with weights. You'd be using something much heavier doing actual kettlebell training. People typically start with a 15 lb one and move up for those exercises.

For awesome, free online kettlebell classes with obese participants of both genders, check out LiveFitRevolution.com. They're in video form and textual form, if you prefer to work out alone. I did 12 weeks worth when she first made them. I prefer them to my DVDs.

I am a firm believer in the Zumba. I have both the first set that came out and the Exhilarate set. I love it and I am usually not one for dancing!

I used to do KB training and started with an 18lb. I went up to a 35lb and boy is it fun! The difference in KB DVD's and training with a KB trainer in person is huge. If possible look up how to properly use KB's before you start any DVD's. And Zumba well, I head it doesn't matter if you can dance or not, you'll still sweat and have fun..at least that's what I've heard lol

I think the Iron Core workout series is good for kettlebells if you're planning to go heavy with them.

I usually check out clips on Collage Video before I buy a workout DVD. Clips aren't very long but ususally give you a good idea of what the workout is like. http://www.collagevideo.com/
