Had sleeve op and now home, now the hard work begins!!

As above really. The operation went well and the consultant seemed pleased. Am now increasing my liquids and trying to get my calories up over 200!

I can't believe it has only been 2 days since I had quite major surgery. Now the journey really begins.

Are you still on clear liquids or full liquids? Have you tried the Special K Protein water? 50 calories per 16 ounces mixed with 5 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber. The pink lemonade is ok. It's like Crystal Light but you find it in the diet section at Walmart.

You can do this. At 2 days post-op it is nearly impossible to get your calories up pass 200 because you can only take in very small amounts of liquid at a time.

I am in the uk so I dont think we have those things here! I am on liquids with no bits in it!!! Soup and milk basically. My surgeon was amazing and hopefully now I can get to a healthy weight for me whatever that weight may be!!

My surgeon said that obesity is an illness not a choice and I really do feel that is true in my case. I couldn't live long term on the low level of calories that allowed me to lose weight (1200) and of course that may have even reduced after I lost more weight.

I have lost 4 stone so far and my favourite moment was in recovery when they couldn't put an anti nausea drug in my thighs because they are too thin!!!! That made the hours in the gym worth while.
