Carbohydrates and Fat loss

So, I'm doing P90X and I was instructed to eat less carbohydrates and more protein if I want to lose fat. However, after trying it a few times, I find it nearly impossible. I don't know if it has to do with the way my body functions or the amount of activity that I do throughout the day, but I have to eat more carbohydrates than protein. Protein keeps you full, but it's not that I'm hungry, it's just that I don't have any energy. I get my energy from carbohydrates. I'm not super jiggly, according to some bystanders, but I would like to tone my jiggle and lose some weight. When I did P90X before (in college maybe almost a year ago), I didn't eat nearly as much protein as I do now. I didn't even necessarily eat as healthy as I do now...but I still had some results for the amount of P90X that I completed (I didn't finish). Do I really have to eat 20% carbohydrates and 50% protein to achieve my goal? What if I just do more cardio?

Holy crap, no. Is that what BeachBody recommends?

Have you tried 40% protein, 40% carbs, 20% fat?

It may just be the low carb "flu", but no you don't have to follow the P90X nutrition guide or drastically cut carbs to lean out

I'm trying to. It's hard for me to get my protein in. My fat levels are low too, but my protein and fat levels are still around 29-30% I think I'm just over worked? I walk to and from school everyday in the heat (since it's summer), so that's about 1 hour of walking. Then, I stand during 5 classes, each 40 minutes each, plus moving around campus when needed. Finally, I go home and do P90X and 30DS. I woke up late this morning, so normally, I would aim for doing one of the workouts in the morning before breakfast and one in the evening before or after dinner, depending on how hungry at am.

I'm not sure what that is, but would it explain my week last week? I passed out twice before being able to do my evening workout. :| It's really annoying to me, but I'm doing my best to slim down a little more. I have to remain an inspiration to my family, since they're trying so hard to lose weight.

Is that just the Fat Shredder portion? That is only sustainable for a short time. Maybe do the 2nd diet they have.

Don't listen to anything Beachbody or Tony Horton tells you. And if you're actually doing that program, I wouldn't go very low on carbs.

It's the fat shredder portion, but I don't know about the other ones. I'm afraid to find out.

I'm hoping to stick with it for the entire program. I think I get bored sometimes, so I decided to do two instead of just that program. I look forward to exercising now, since carbs seem to be okay. ^^
