Weight Loss / Protein Shakes for Women

Hello you lovely lot!! :flowerforyou:

I am looking to buy a weight loss or protein shake (NOT for bulking up) that is specificaly aimed at women. I have recently had some of my finacee's and now read they contain a high level of testosterone... Let's hope I don't grow a beard :noway:

So do any of you have any recommendations for something fairly affordable (ie under £20 for a kg tub) that would aid weight loss and is low carb??

Thank you darlings

Sorry? Testosterone in whey protein? And bulking up just by taking protein? If it were only that easy.

You get what you pay for, check out Reflex's Diet protein, perfect and unisex as is all whey protein.

I adore the taste of Muscle Milk (chocolate) and I know those are very gender neutral, but lately have been taking GNC's brand called GNC Pro Preformance Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 Protein.
Here's a link to the one I use. http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3509954 and it's on sale I think right now.
  • Ahh thank you!! Just doing some online shopping now! And you have made me laugh on this rather boring evening at home

Protein doesn't make your bulk and I'm pretty sure it doesn't contain hormones. Protein is gender neutral.

Any will do. Protein shakes do NOT bulk anyone up. Testosterone does that along with a lot of work with weights. Unless you are planning to pump some iron and shoot some steroids you are fine.

I use Optimum Nutrition 100% whey protein. Lots of flavours and really nice taste. £40 for a 5lb (2.2kg) tub.

Protein doesn't contain hormones, nor will it bulk you up. As Rae said, it's gender neutral. I've used protein for well over a year regularly, lifted heavy, even done a purposeful bulk, and still don't look like she-hulk, neither have I grown a beard!

Steroids includes testosterone. Testes produce testosterone. If you don't have either of these, you won't have much. All women have some naturally, but it's not much.

Any old protein powder will work for girls. All it is is a nutrient, there's no magical difference between guy and girl protein.

If your fiance's protein has testosterone, that means he's doing steroids.

I use Pure Protein 100% Whey powder. Always have a tub of the Vanilla Cream on hand- I mix it with unsweetened almond milk after a workout. It's also really good to add to your oatmeal, cream of wheat, and smoothies!

    Testosterone is not steroids
