Back Again

Hey, I'm starting MFP again today, I kinda gained about 8-10 lbs in the last 5-6 months :(
My doctor said t help my anxiety disorder and tourettes I need to do cardio exercise at least 60 minutes per day (7 days a week)
I was wondering, would some of you be able to help motivate me and support me with this?
I can try and do the same for you if you need it! :happy: I just really need some help and my anxiety has gotten so much worse since I've stopped doing this in the summer,.. :frown:
Anyways, it would be great to hear from you guys/girls!

  • I'm here for you as I'm in the same boat! I've been dealing with anxiety and depression but ever since I've been using MFP and working out regurarly, I feel GREAT! I orignially lost 68 lbs thru weight watchers but half of that has creeped up :(. I'm a bit embarassed and on top of it, I've become a fitness instructor, so when i work out I have to stand in front of dozens of ppl, many who are skinnier than me. I'm ready to be happy, to be a role model, and to feel great!

    So I'm here to help!

    Getting the cardio will be easy. Find a class you like to do and make friends at the gym, so you have automatic gym buddies! Or you can split it up, 30 minutes in the early AM and 30 minutes after work. Find what works for you!

    I'm glad to hear someone has anxiety like I do! I mean, I'm sorry to hear that you have it to, but at someone knows what I go through everyday :happy:
    Anyways, I just got back from a 30 minute walk, so I only need 30 more minutes to go! ^^

    You got it! I felt really horrible during the summer being unemployed and away from my family and the only thing that made me feel better was exercise and the gym. I don't know exactly how you feel, but I'm definitely here to listen if you ever need someone to talk to. Good luck, we'll be here supporting you :heart:

    I'm with you!! I recently came back to MFP also. Last year I lost 42 lbs using this site and as of today gained it all back but 9 lbs. I logged in yesterday for the first time. I also suffer from depression and believe me this weight gain has not helped. I need to get motivated to exercise. I walked yesterday and and am getting ready to go walking again in a few minutes. I am now so out of shape i can only walk about 10 min or so and i feel exhausted and ache all over. I am going to keep with it though and follow thru this time. we can do this:smile:

    I did cardio for 76 minutes today, it was kinda tough but I did it!
    I have to go to night school now (it's my last night) but I am extremely anxious and scared to go, even know I know nothing is wrong, it's just my anxiety disorder kicking in. :frown:
    Ugh, oh well, maybe once I start losing weight I'll feel a bit better, I know my doctor will be proud of me when I lose the weight! :tongue: and I know I'll certainly be happy to lose the weight! ^_^

    I hope your night school went well! Maybe once you lose the weight you'll feel more confident, and that in itself will help! Anyways, just wanted to check in on you today and see how you were feeling :happy:
