to start back on the C25K program?!!!! Seriously, I WANT to get back started on it... I NEED to get back started on it.... BUT I just keep putting it off!!!!! I am seriously aggrivated at myself... I can't just take off out the door right now...I have two kiddos and their dad isn't home from work yet..... I stay busy, and the whole time I'm thinking, "as soon as I get this finished, I'm putting my running shoes on"... And then, I just don't get my butt out the door. :grumble:
I guess I just need to vent about how aggrivated I am at myself right now... I am going to the gym most nights out of the week, but I really, really want to do the C25K... I really think it will help with my weight loss and get myself into shape... Plus, I really want to run a 5K one of these days and think this will be great training.. Just frustrated right now......

Well I can't give you a gentle kick in the rear, but I can tell you that I am SOOOO glad I stuck to it. I was not a runner, not even close. Before I started C25K, I could not run for more than 30 seconds without wanting to vomit. I am about to change and head to the track. I am up to 38 minutes (yep, straight ... no walking/resting). I still can't believe I can say that! It is such an awesome feeling! I plan on adding a minute each week until I get to 45 minutes, and then I will work on my time.
I truly believe that I would not have had the success I do if I didn't run. I have lost about 25 pounds since the beginning of August and dropped almost 2 pant sizes. I feel so much better about myself and my body. I owe all of this to C25K! The program taught me how to push myself without overdoing it and turned me into a runner.
I hope this helps! Lace up and go! :flowerforyou:0 -

What he said.
I will also say that running helps shape your entire body, not just your legs...but they'll look really good too at the end of 9 weeks.0 -
Come on! You can so do this! I weigh 239 at 5'4" and I'm about to put on my running shoes to do W1D3 right now.
What an awesome feeling when you finish a workout! :drinker:0 -
I followed the C25K plan a year ago and without such a good, gradual running program I wouldn't have stayed with running and I wouldn't have finished my first half marathon last month! Literally 1 year almost to the day after I started C25K, I ran a half marathon in 2:09:44. I'm going to train for the full marathon this summer. I can't imagine my life without running now so stick with it!!!0

Just keep with it. It is hard at first but then all of a sudden in a few weeks or a month from now your body will crave running and the runner high you get and it is sooo much better than sugar!0

Oh Kandy you can do this! Just think about all your June Starters and how much we all look up to you :flowerforyou: Do this for you, and also do this so we can follow in your footsteps. The hardest part is getting your shoes on. Once you put them on, it's done and it will be easy to just walk out the door and go run!
