    I was also born and raised in Michigan...Pontiac, Lapeer, Flint, Grayling, currently in Kalkaska. Tried a few years in Tennessee and Texas, but kept being pulled back to Michigan. Just can't seem to stay away for long. :smile:

    I don't think I've ever met someone who hasn't! NMU was filled with students from the LP and Illinois who fell in love with the UP! I must say, though, I quite enjoyed my 2 years living in Columbus Ohio for a taste of that big city life.

    We just got back from Tahquamenon Falls for the weekend. We go up there and camp at Rivermouth every year. Its weird having the 4th in the middle of the week . .. no fireworks for us this year while camping :(

    Back in TC and its HOT!! 95 yesterday. I live in Michigan because I love the winter and well . . . have never lived anywhere else and I like the snow. LOVE THE SNOW!!! LOL This heat business is for the birds!

    I'd think you were joking if not for the fact that I know the truth of this statement firsthand. My sister in law's younger brother was shot and killed in Flint last year. Apparently, Flint is the new Detroit.
