I'm new here. I've tried everything but MyFitnessPal so thought I'd give it a whole hearted try. I'm morbidly obese and trying to lose 2 lbs a week. I'm so tired of not being able to enjoy walking like I used to or touching my toes. Heck I want to be able to put my socks on without feeling pain in my stomach and legs...wish me lots of luck because I'm going to seriously need it lol!

Welcome! I'm pretty new too but I've already added some great friends with "a long way to go" also. They are great sounding boards, motivators and idea givers. So that's what I'd suggest, find some folks that "speak your language".0

Welcome, I was at one time morbid obese and it was hard for me to walk because I developed asthma, however, I love to clean up and dance. So what I would do, I would find my favorite music and get some paper towels and glass cleaner and dance while I clean mirrors and the rest of the house. It took some time but little by little, I did more and more. Find the things you like to do and make it a activity. I'm sure you will will get more valuable advice on here as well. P.S I don't have asthma anymore!0

Hi, I just want to say that I think that all of you are awesome!! I began my fitness journey in April, and after trying many diets, and trying different ways of combining food, the biggest difference came from this website. The other two major things that worked for me is Bob Harper's book "The Skinny Rules." I needed some concrete rules to follow to eliminate all the confusion from trying so many things!
The other thing was, I started an exercise plan, but one that I could live with, doing activities I like. My blood pressure went down (it was elevated) and cholesterol is now back in check. Check my Fitness Pal Blog if you want to read more. 17 pound down since April. I didn't have to torture myself, just do something every day (consistency is key). Best of luck to all of you, I know you will do great!
