Refilling Fry Light bottles

Can anyone advise on this please? What makes a Fry Light low in calories? Is it the fact that you spray so little of the stuff inside?
If I refill the bottle with oridinary Sunflower Oil are the calories-per-spray the same as it was before? :ohwell:

I've refilled with regular oil before, but it clogs up the sprayer cos it's too thick, so I looked at the ingredients, and it contains a lot of water, so last time I topped up I used oil and water, and as long as I shake it well before use it seems to be working pretty well. Not quite as well as the original stuff, but good enough0

I use the fry light olive oil, sunflower oil, balsamic dressing spray & caesar dressing spray.
Cant say I've ever thought to re-fill them, I would just buy new ones.0 -

I have also tried to make my own using sunflower oil and water. Had a few attempts but it either clogged up or was too watery to use - gave up and bought a new bottle!0 -
Thanks for the replies so far. I'm not being mean and yes I could just buy more, but by refilling I know exactly what I am spraying on my food - a bit like using real butter instead of the 'I can't believe....' type spreads that are full of who knows what.
The question was really about the calrories I should count when I use the re-filled bottle, I suppose I could find out by 'weighing' the amount of oil for say 10 sprays and working out the calories that way?0 -
I suppose what you can do is look at the number of calories per 100ml and compare this with other brands of sunflower oil.
It says on the Fry Light spray that per 100ml = 520kcal and with each spray is measured at 0.2ml.
Therefore the calories in 0.2ml spray is 1.04kcal.
For example, taking the Flora Pure Sunflower Oil 2 Litre, per 100ml = 828kcal.
If you refill the bottle with that, it will work out to be 1.656kcal for every 0.2ml spray that you use.0
