This dog was abandoned at work this morning. He is 3 years old, fixed, house trained, and has his shots, or so what the old owner. We have already called the shelters and they said they had no room and if they took him, he;d be euthanized due to his age. If you are interested, please call my work number. (904) 508-4452

    I wish I could, but I just don't have the space to add another dog. Did you try the Jacksonville Humane Society? They're a no-kill shelter, so they won't euthanize him unless he's really sick, and I know they take dogs older than him…the last one I rescued from there was four years old.

    That is so sad. Why must people just abandon their pets?

    I wish I could take him, but my tiny apartment wouldn't be a very good home. We just adopted a kitty from the shelter.

    I hope you find someone to take him. He looks like a sweetheart.

    =( This makes me so sad...how anyone can abandon an animal like that is beyond me. I'd take him ..course he'd have to get to NH ;)

    Hope you are successful finding a home for him...and are there no "no kill" shelters in that area?

    BARC (Boxer Animal Rescue Center) will take him but only after ASPCA has had him for 5 days. There is a lady here to get him but we are kinda worried she will use him as training for pit fights. If he isn't taken today by he end of my workday, we will keep him until Thursday, but that is it. I have a 700 sq ft apartment and two kittens. I would love to, but I doubt it would go well. Hopefully, ASPCA will get him. :) Thanks you guys.

    Aw...I'm soo tempted, but we're really broke right now and can hardly afford to feed our 4 boys! You are so sweet to try and get him rescued and I applaud you!:drinker:

    Have you tried Kamp Kritter? They will take in abandoned dogs?

    There's gotta be a place that can take him in that won't kill. :frown:

    Someone got him. I just hope that its a family that is loving. That dog needs a good family that won't abandon him.

    I just wish I had the room to take him. :sad:

    Kudos to you!! That's all you can do is do the best for him! I am sure things will work out...I already have two golden retrievers, and they are a handful! I couldn't possibly add another pup to my collection!
