Question about abdomen fat

Hope this isn't a stupid question, and I know that you can not spot reduce anything, but I have a very strange problem I hope someone can advise on.

My waist and hips are starting to pull in and get leaner (woohoo) however I have a tiny wee podgy band right under my breasts. At first I thought it was bloating from not enough water and too much protein, but it seems to come and go at random times. It means that shirts that are fitted to that part of my upper waist either fit me or don't, it's literally a couple of cms making a difference between a small and a medium.

I'm at a total loss as to what to try. Was wondering if anyone in the MFP world has experienced this and any tips to how to reduce the swelling/bloating or really work the upper part of my abdo.

Thanks in advance!

Everyone loses fat differently and we all have our problem areas where it seems to accumulate more readily. I'm sure it will go down as you lose more if that's what it is. If it's really in your "insides", have you tried increasing your fiber intake. Significantly? That could help.

If it really comes and goes then it can only be down to fluid retention. Adipose tissue just can't accumulate or be lost that rapidly. If it's down to fluid retention (and it's not your TOM), then it could be related to the amount of sodium in your diet in the days preceeding the swelling.

Thanks for the replys :-). My sodium has increased slightly over the past few days a I've been craving salty foods, it's something I have been aware of and have been trying to lower.

I think I'll also try to increase my fibre as I didn't even think that could help!!

My opinion is that in woman, belly fat is mostly hormonal in woman. Control your hormones, get them in balance, and it's more likely than not you will be able to reduce these areas if you are eating healthy and exercising.
