I wanna lose about one to two pounds a week. I am not sure how many calories I should have left over at the end of the day. Right now I workout and have about an extra 600 calories a day. I only try to eat about 300 of that. If I only have 300 calories leftover a day, will I be able to lose one to two pounds a week?

Find your maintenance number.
Maintenance- 250 per day = lose half a pound a week.
Maintenance- 500 per day = lose a pound a week.
MFP already does these calculations for you, so all you have to do is stick to the plan. Try to get your net as close as possible to your goal, not too much over or under. If you'd like to only eat a percentage of your exercise cals back, that's fine, just try not to net below 1200, possibly more, depending on your stats.0 -
