I have been doin 1200 cals a day. I am just trying to maintain my weight since I have reached my goal. I was told that I need to burn as many cals as I eat, or vice versa. Today, (I dunno maybe someone can look at my food & exercise diary) but I ate 990 cals & burned 765. But the 765 is added to my my Totals for the day. Where I get confused, is am I suppose to be eatin that many cals? 1200 + 765? It is hard enough for to try & burn 1200 cals lol.

Why are you eating so little and exercising so much now that you're on maintenance?0

For maintenance, you are to eat your exercise calories plus your 1200 calories. If you burned 765 calories, then you are to eat 1200 + 765 which is 1965. I know it sounds like a lot, but you should be able to maintain with that. I eat between 1600 and 2000 a day and lose on that much.....if you are active, you should be able to maintain on that. good luck!0

You've got it backwards. You need to eat what you are burning and add it to you daily amount. So MFP is right. Also, if you are on maintenance, you need to add more calories to stay where you are or you will keep losing weight.0

you can switch your goals to maintenance and it will tel you hat you should be eating. 1200 is certainly too low to maintain0

Ok I changed it. 1880 cals a day. Wow!! lol. It will be hard doin that, but at least I wont have to worry bout it as much. It's funny how all this changes ur life & becomes a lifestyle. I can't stay still now. I'm always walking & I workout every night b4 I go to bed. I just can't stop now lol.0
