I keep ending up with 300 - 500 calories left at the end of the day. But I'm maxed out on protein and carbohydrates. I don't know what to eat. Any suggestions?

what is your carb/fat/protein ratio? That doesn't sound right....... carbs are easy to max out but how much fat are you eating???0

You can go over your protein number.0

veggies and protein. i wouldn't worry about going over them.0

I like having some buffer calories personally especially since Im only about 90 percent accurate on my logging. Sometimes I under log sometimes over I'm happy as long as the end result is losing weight and getting stronger0

Agreed. I pretty much go a little more than double what the "recommended" here is on MFP. Carbs though, I can never hit. I generally stay around 100. 250 seems excessive.0 -

I am usually right on on carbs, sometimes a couple of percent over. I'm usually right on or a little under on protein. I'm usually 5-10% under on fat. It seems dumb to eat extra fat to get calories.
I've been worrying about the sugar in fruits and vegetables. But maybe that's not a big deal.
Concensus seems to be extra protein is okay and if I'm going to go over, that would be where to go.0 -
I'm glad that you started this thread because I had the same exact question: I'm left over with 200-250 cal every day and my total cal is 1200! but If I eat I go way over on my 30 grams of sugar and 100 grams of carbs and 30 grams of fat..0

If you're not hungry, I wouldn't worry too much. That's a buffer for when you've under-estimated something, or the days you can't resist a treat.
If you are hungry, protein won't hurt you if you go over.
I usually spend any left-over calories on cups of tea or some fruit, or a treat like a yoghurt.0 -
Protein and fat levels are really low on MFP and should be treated as a minimum - so it's ok to go over as long as you hit your calorie target. Suggestings: peanut butter, dairy, eggs.0

I use the weight watchers list of "free foods" if I am still hungry - most veg/fruit except the starchy kinds like potatoes, egg white, sugar free jelly.
I find if I have done a long or intense bike ride the next day I am still very hungry - I tend to not eat as many calories as I need on ride day as I physically can't but I don't worry if I go over the next day due to increased appetite, so long as I'm not filling up on junk.0 -
if you have calroies left over at the end of the day i wouldnt suggest eating at all- as part of a diet is training yourself to NOT eat when your NOT hungry, as part of putting weight on is eating when your not hungry!!!0
