Vitamins

Hellos, I have a question for some people! I did a low carb detox for about 1-2 weeks a month ago and in that, it told me to take all kinds of vitamins, which I understand and after the detox I did lose about 12 lbs but I don't seem to be losing any more, even with counting calories, watching what I eat (with some cheats) and doing exercise about 2-3 times a week or however many I can fit into my busy schedule. My clothes do fit better and look better, even though I know that 12lbs isn't alot but still, just wondering why maybe I'm staying at the same weight? Also, I continue to take all of the vitamins because I have noticed they do make me feel better (Morning: 2 vitamin c tablets and a vitamin d tablet, Breakfast: probiotic capsule, omega3 fish oil soft gel, and a centrum multivitamin Lunch: 2 calcium tablets, probiotic capsule and another fishoil soft gel then finally with Dinner: another probiotic capsule and another fishoil soft gel) Am I taking too many vitamins? Can this be harmful at all? Just looking for any advice while being bored at work! Thanks :flowerforyou:

Short answer: It's your choice but if you are healthy and eat well, they are unlikely to be beneficial and may even be harmful.

I take a multivitamin once a fortnight or so myself because my diet is not perfect (I dont like fish for instance) and so there is a chance I'm missing something.
Supplements I take daily are:
zinc (scientifically proven to prevent and reduce the duration and severity of colds)
glucosamine sulphate (helps massively with arthritus pain that I'd otherwise be suffering)
calcium (as I'm lactose intolerant)
I sometimes take a fish oil tablet due to the above mentioned fish aversion.0 -
And in your case I'd say you are overdosing on Vitamin C, fish oil tablets and Calcium... but thats only because those tablets tend to be at least 100% of the RDA.0

Okay okay, yeah I wondered.. but calcium.. I don't get much of because I am lactose intolerant and fish oil- I don't like fish either. I'm a very picky eater!!0

Quantity of tablets does not matter. What is the iu of the tablets? Fish oils and Vitamin D should be around 2,000 iu.
Does the probiotic recommend you take 3 a day? Most I have seen is 1 so you should check the bottle on that one.0 -
One with every meal!0
