Change in attitude

I have struggled with my weight since I was a preteen (decades ago!) and am now close to optimal. Even at times when I was more fit/weighed less, I had "fat eyes" and couldn't see my success. Consequently, I yoyo'ed. Yesterday, I was at the doctor for a meeting prior to surgery. He said "Here are the risks (blah, blah, blah) but you're not overweight so these don't apply to you." I was as happy to hear a person say "You're not overweight" as I was to hear that potential risks are unlikely.

I guess the "change in attitude" is that I can now see my success and progress and I feel proud, not worried that the success is fleeting!
