any other people in their last 10 LBS ?

Hi there I have about 6 LBS to lose to be back at my goal weight. (I lost like 50 lbs a few years ago and then keep yoyoing between 10 lbs for like 2 years now)

I want some friends that are the in the same situation, and that use this site everyday :D
(early 20 year olds that have less then 10 lbs to lose, or are maintaining their weight, or are in the build muscle phase now.)

I think it would benifit me and others to have similar goals !!!

(I had an account before but it got messed up, And I had some people on it but i didnt know there screen names to add them again, )

  • I'm pretty much exactly where you are. I've lost 45 pounds and I've been 5-10 pounds away from my goal for like 6 months. I actually just made a similar post haha.

I am in the final stretch of what has been a long, hard process.
    It's been slow and steady.
And I try to keep it all simple.
I eat lean meats, low fat dairy, nuts, whole grains, fresh fruits and veggies.
I track what I eat and balance it 25% fat, 25% protein and 50% carb.
    Not exactly - close enough.
I eat the amount of calories that equals 1 lb of weight loss per week. And I track my training both cardio and resistance and eat back all my exercise calories to maintain a steady deficit every day.
And I exercise - both cardio and resistance.
Just accept that diet and exercise is the only valid path.
There are no magic wands, miracle pills, macro revelations, far eastern discoveries, exotic enzymes, divination or hidden roots or berries from the rain forest..
    Just eat right and exercise.
    Simple.

I lost about 50 pounds 4 years ago and have been going up/down the same 20 pounds since then. Currently want to lost the last 10 to get to the lowest I was then. (My tracker says 15 pounds, but that's kind of wishful thinking, considering I am already within my healthy BMI now...but we'll see!)

Feel free to add me! I am also beginning training for my first half-marathon and am a vegetarian and 25. =-)

I begin training for a half marathon this month, too! :)
  • My name is Colleen. I'm 18 years old and used to be overweight for my short height. I lost 20 pounds two years ago and it was such a great feeling to have lost all that weight. Unfortunately, I gained all of the weight back last fall, and am trying to shed off the extra pounds so I'll be able to fit into some of my shorts and just be able to feel good about myself again. I started working on this the past few months, but had been busy with work and education that I just hadn't had as much time to try to exercise. Now that it's summer, I've been going on walks for about an hour at least three times a week. I pushed myself a little too hard the other day and have found some alternates so I could still be active while I recover. Some of the other activities I do during that time are going on bike rides and playing drum set (blink-182 songs are what I prefer to play because I love that band and most of their songs are fast, which makes playing them a great cardio). I've already lost about 7 lbs. so far and will be working hard to lose some more weight and hopefully keep it off. lol

Anyways, I'm still really new to this website, but I'm glad I discovered it because it's so cool that we could all stick together to achieve our goals and make new friends. :) Anyways, hello!
