When to weigh?

Hi I'm new to this after having my third and last child in January and realising Im not just pinging back into shape this time! I've read a lot of the boards and must say the community on here is the friendliest I have ever seen and think the support is fantastic.
The problem in having is I've always been an every day weight and have noticed that doing this tends to set my mood for the day and can really mess with my head and motivation so I was wondering how often should I weigh to keep motivation going???Thanks

I try to weigh myself just once a week, sometimes once every two weeks.
By logging by food and exercise on here I know how well on not Im doing, my clothes fit better and I feel better. If the scale says I have lost weight then great but I feel great either way0 -

Resist the temptation to weigh every day and just weigh in on the same day each week, first thing in the morning.
Or
Weigh every day and log it on a graph so that you can see the degree of fluctuation daily but it will be on a downward path and you 'count' the weekly or bi-weekly total.
Or
Take measurements once a week and record those - sometimes when the scale is unfriendly the tape measure restores your faith!
If a disappointing result is interfering with your willpower (and we all know how that feels) try not to weigh yourself each day. I have moved the scales all around the bedroom in order to get a better result but I know it's ridiculous! I have moved to a weekly check in and that seems to work for me.0 -
Every Sunday morning. Gives you Sunday to get some exercise in and be in a positive frame of mind for Monday. It also stops you going silly on Saturdays.0

To funny, I have done the same thing with the scales, moving them aroung! But you are right, it's what motivates you as an individual to stay on plan to reach your goal. I weigh in when I get up, after my run and after supper at night. It is fairly consistant that increase and lose at the same times each day. I do record the readings as well as calories burned during the run. Geeesh, you have to make it fun right lol0
