Exercise Routine =)

I need some help/ advice.. So far my only actual routine is my elliptical. That is my main part of a work out.. When I'm done with that I'll go do crunches, push up's, lift the weight.. basically just random stuff.. =/ I would like to have a better routine.. but I don't know where to start.. I know some people only do strength training 4-5 a week.. and only some parts of the body on certain days.. =|
I'd like to have a routine but don't know where to start..I don't have much knowledge of exercises I could do either. My boyfriend coaches me through some work outs but that only happens like once ever 2 weeks.. (totally different schedules)
Any advice would be appreciated!! =D
If it helps: I'm a girl..I've only got one small weight set.. My 'problem' areas are my thighs and of course, the belly.. =( I can' do a 'real' push up.. I'm limited to my living room.
Thanks!!

I'm obsessed with the Elliptical - I love the calories it burns I guess.
When I go to the gym with my friend we normally do the following (which I think could be done at home)
10minute warm up
Then two sets of the following
- 24 x bicycle crunches
- 12 x push ups (even if you do them on your knees)
- 12 x squats with weights (as you squat down lift the weights up from your side to striaght out in front of you)
and then repeat all of that (including the cardio to keep your heart rate up) 3 times.0 -
I will try that one! Thanks!0

I'm doing Power90 and 30 minutes of outdoor jogging daily. If you aren't already, use a workout DVD to keep you on a daily routine. Wal-Mart has a decent selection, I personally recommend 30 Day Shred - you WILL see results!0
