Pirates in First Place ???

I know it's only midway through the baseball season, but as a Pirates fan, I haven't been this excited about baseball in 20 years!!

    i had gotten used to picking another team to follow in the playoffs to keep me interested because the Pirates were always about 18 games back by this point.

    the past couple of years i have watched more pirates regular season games than probably any other year since 2000 combined.

    they are definitely fun to watch, and i am happy...

    but 20 years is telling me to not get my hopes up too much.

    Man I was a Pirate fan in the 80's as a youngster and live in Fla. and started watching the Braves play more a s they got better. Don't keep up near as much now but good to see the doing well, Flat hats, the reason I started watching them, collest uniforms at the time.

    Hoping they can keep it up! Pittsburgh definitely on a hot streak right now and I'm not talking about the weather! I love going to baseball games because the stadium is so nice, but not so much just watching it on TV although yesterday was entirely too hot to be out there - those are some serious fans!

    I was at the game on tuesday against the Astros. Man, what a GAME!! I'm not a huge baseball fan anymore, but I'm am pretty pumped the Pirates are doing so well. Hope it continues and we can get this ball club back on track! We are the city of champions for crying out loud!!
