For those who know about me, I have what I think is still the "beginning" stages of copd, that's beside the point. I just got off of my treadmill and did the best I ever have done so far. I changed it up from 2.5 mph on an inclined of 5.0 to 3.0mph on no incline. I burnt 307 calories in 55 min. I am soooo happy. I know that isn't much compared to everyone here but it is just something that made me proud today Yay!!!!! Oh yeah, I also haven't smoked in 8 days, another proud moment

That is really great!! way to go..It is amazing how good it feels to accomplish positive goals. Nothing feels better. I promise you if you can stay away from cigarettes you will begin to feel better and better every day. Talk about an accomplishment. If you can never go back to smoking you can do anything you set your mind to!0 -

As long as you are doing the best you can do. It isn't a contest. You keep pushing yourself a little more each week. And before you know it you will look back and think how far you have come. I went from sitting on the couch to running 3-4 times a week. I would have not believed that 2 years ago. You keep doing what you are doing for yourself. And we are all proud of everyone here who keeps pushing no matter what level you are at.0

That is Awesome, my brother promised to quit smoking & workout starting the new year we shall see, he has tremendous will power in everything else, so I don't doubt him it has just been a long time of saying I'm going to quit you know trying the patches, but I hope for the best. Yeah a change in your routine is something that can work really well being the hours worked in the day or possibly exercise to achieve the same amount of cardio expenditure. A few days doing incline then a few days flat back & forth will work great for the body. All the best.
