NSV: I can touch my toes!

When I was in gym class and marching band in high school, I was never about to lean down and touch my toes because of having a big belly in the way. Well, at work in the warehouse we have to do this stretch every morning and at lunch. At first I was worried about not being able to do it but, to my surprise, I could. I always thought my arms were too short, apparently not. I know this sounds really silly but I was thinking about it earlier at work and I couldn't get it outta my head. Anyone else relate? :D

That's great!! Some people might not think it's much but I can relate. I was so excited two days ago as I was doing a workout video. I was going along with the stretch but this time I could touch my toes without bending my knees!! I have been working with these videos since March! I can't even remember the last time I was able to touch my toes. Even as a thin teenager.

Great job, I can totally relate. I have had problems in the past doing quad stretches because of lack of balance/being large and I'm able to do it now! Hooray!!

That is a good feeling. When I started exercising, like you, I tried to stretch and I could,t reach them. After dropping a little over 40 pounds I can, it was great the first time I did it! Just doing that signifies accomplishment. So Congrats!

Congrats, that's awesome!! That will be one of mine... some day. For now my excuse is that my legs are just too long. Starting up a little yoga and some extra stretching. Never have been able to touch mine even when I was fit. Although, I could kick over my own head in martial arts (6'2") haha

Quad stretches used to be a lot harder than they are now, although I still need to keep balance but I'm getting better. ^.^

Even when I was at my thinnest (a size 12), I still wasn't able to do it. I guess I just wasn't fit enough. Or I didn't care, I can't remember which. XD

It is a good feeling. I've lost 53ish pounds so I guess it took a little longer for me. Or just longer for me to notice, whichever happened first. :P

One day we were joking around at the office about someone needing an *kitten*-kicking. One of my co-workers said that she could kick her own *kitten*. That got us started. Everyone was kicking their own butt. That is, everyone except me and another guy. Apparently we both had thighs that were too big for that. (I would think having a bigger butt would help, but it didn't).

Anyway, a few years ago I was doing a step class and I accidentally kicked my own butt. I was so excited - I spent the next few weeks kicking my own *kitten* whenever I thought no one was looking. LOL! :O)

That's hilarious. I'm pretty sure I'm not able to do it at this time but I may give it a try sometime.

    Thanks Mbelt004!! I'll get there.

Happypath101 - I'm cracking up over here. Yeah, I had to try and now I'm sitting here wondering how many others will too! Ha!!
