Negative Net Calories

Today I swam a ton and my current net calories is negative 307 even though I ate three very balanced meals and even ice cream as a snack! I am completely full and satisfied...do I have to eat back into the positive net calories? Where do my net calories need to be? I've struggled with anorexia most of my life and as a result when I started eating I gained a lot of weight. I'm trying to get myself back on track. I want to be healthy, slim and toned. Swimming has been a wonderful exercise for my back pain but it burns a LOT of calories. I swam two miles which took me a while and got me in the negative for net calories. Any accurate help you can give would be wonderful! Thank you so much!

How many calories did you eat today? If you ate a good amount, that seems like waaay too high an estimate for your burn. You might be overestimating. Just a thought.0

Mine is the same way! I eat my normal amount that is recommended which is 1230 and then I work out normally about 6 days a week for 30-45 minutes, then I do little things like stand most the time at work at my desk instead of sitting all night (i work third shift) which also keeps me awake a little easier. I eat CLEAN and I am about to start drinking protein shakes after my work outs just because my net calories are so negative. I get into the -400 range some days. So I don't know, I am right there with you. I eat and I am full and I drink water and eat nurtitiously but, I just burn a lot... IDK what the right amount should be...0

pop in on the swim calories thread... we're just discussing there how to best estimate them as the database here is overestimating rather...0

I get 1280 per day and ate 1700 yesterday. Thanks for directing me towards the swimming thread.0
