Is it normal for me, being 5'7.5 and 153 pounds to not lose many pounds, but more inches, from 30DS? Thanks!

I'm on Level 1, Day 5 so I can't speak from experience. But from what I've read on the forums, most people lose a lot of inches but not very much weight.

    thanks! :)
also forgot to add, but would adding an hour of extra cardio on top of this workout help increase the weight loss?

I've also seen tons of people say they only really lose a few pounds, but the difference in how they look is AMAZING. I saw a thread once (wish I had saved it, I'd link it) where she lost maybe 3 pounds? But she seriously looked like she lost 20. Not sure how many inches she lost but she was really toned and looked great! So to answer your question, yes.

As for the extra cardio, it's up to you. It might help but remember that inches are more important than pounds. I'd rather look and feel great in smaller jeans than only see the number on the scale go down!

I do some kind of additional exercise everyday (running, biking, soccer or baseball), but it's up to you. I'm already noticing a difference with my endurance during the workout.

Lean muscle is more dense than fat, so you can lose inches, but not weight -- I haven't done the 30DS, but it's perfectly normal for someone getting more fit! Don't worry about the number on the scale so much. If you get more lean muscle, you'll eventually burn more fat quicker, and the number on the scale doesn't reflect your body fat percentage and how much healthier you are getting. If you are seeing inches coming off, that's a sure sign of progress.
