That is how many calories I have increased per week. My weight is still not moving up or down. Still in the same range. I am trying to lose weight. Would you increase more? Inches are not decreasing either. I seem stuck, but most say to change up the diet, 8,500 is a big change.

Looking at your food diary have you seem to be over on carbs and under on protein, have you tried swapping them around?

IAWT. Just had a sneaky peek and you don't seem to eat much protein, you're getting it from shakes only. Like, when you had the pasta with sauce you could have had less pasta and added a chicken breast or some low fat minced beef. Also eggs are your friend.

Dunkin Doughnuts for breakfast ! Well it's an interesting case study of how increasing your calorie intake won't help your weight loss. Good luck in your mission. Too much of a carb festival for me to comment.

According to the calculator of insanity TDEE was 34xx. so, Mfp 2400+exercise aprox 500. Gives 1lb per week.

    3400-2900=500x7

Not only you seem to be going over on carbs and low on protein, but you also seem to be going way over your sodium daily goal, which is already high. Salt does not cause your body to gain or lose fat, but excess sodium causes fluid retention which manifests itself in the form of excess weight.

Although you have obviously done well to lose 30lbs, if I'm brutally honest you eat a lot of junk. Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Papa Johns and full fat Pepsi all in one week and I saw that with only a quick glance of your diary!

If it is an off week I apologise as don't get me wrong I've been known to frequent all of the above establishments, but it looks to me as though you need to get back to basics, eat fewer calories and eat healthier - lean meat, plenty of veg and some wholegrain carbs, you know how it goes!

I'm neither for or against the whole "eat more, eat less, eat more protein, eat paper for a week or two" thing (in the past I have actually benefitted from eating a few extra calories and from low carb) but sometimes I think many people on here get preoccupied with it and lose sight of the most basic of principles - eat less, exercise more and you will lose weight! Although there of course will be ups, downs and the odd plateau!

Good luck - I hope you achieve your goals!

These guys did something similar, +50% on calories by eating more and exercising less for 14 days :-

and they got a bit heavier :-

though nowhere near as heavy as I would have expected.
