Ok, So this has probably been nrought up a million times but my goal to lose 1lb a week is 1750 calories I very rarely eat 1750 calories a day in the week averaging around 1400. But at weekend I tend to go over around 2000 every saturday and sunday. My thoughts were that this would average itself out from the calories i didn't eat in the week to the calories i over ate at weekend. Add in to the equation that i excercise x5 a week i need help because i think i'm not doing this right as i've not lost for the last two weeks and today i've gained 2lbs from somewhere!!!
any advice would be much appreciated.

The 2 pounds could be water. Do you own a food scale and a good heart rate monitor for the most accurate measurements of intake versus outtake that you can get?0

HUH?? you waer the heart rate monitor when youre exercising and record the numbers it yells at you and then you use the food scale to weigh your food so you know what your portion is and enter the calories.0 -
Recently I read an article (which I unfortunately can't find right now) where research was done into people with your eating schedule.
The test subjects would eat a too low amount of calories during the week and strongly increase their intake during the weekend. What the research found that happened was that the body adjusts to the low amount of calories eaten during the week, so the one or two binge days in the weekend actually added weight, even if the total calorie intake was below their recommended amount.
Simple put, the body goes in starvation mode, and the two day weekend binge isn't enough to get your metabolism up again to burn the calories you eat more during the weekend.
Now this research as I remember was not a large scale one. So there might be other factors playing along as well. But if what you're doing isn't working I recommend getting your weekday calories up to the recommended 1750.0 -
Thanks MissMormie exactly what i was looking for0
