Good morning!
My name is Jen and I'm new to the MFP boards. I've been signed up for a few months, but not quite ready to commit to a program full-time.
But now it's time! I'm turning 30 at the end of August and am determined to start the 30s healthier and happier. I'm on mat leave with my second son, who was born on St. Paddy's Day. My other son is 4. I want to be a strong, healthy mom and a positive role model for my boys.
I am 5'1 and just over 200lbs (200.8 to be exact). My goal is 150 - what I weighed when I was married in 2003. It seems so far away, but reading the success stories here on MFP has been inspirational. Keeping motivated day to day is a battle for me, so I'd welcome any ladies with similar goals/challenges to "friend" me.
Every journey starts with a single step... well today is step one for me...

Hi! I'm 5 feet 2 inches tall ( 5 foot 3 inches on a good day lol). I will be 40 on the 18th of August. I started my journey in 2009 weighing 207 pounds. I want to ultimately get to 130. I would love to help you along your road to success. The same goes for anyone else looking for motivation and support. Add me if you want!!!

Sorry about posting with the help of mky two year old lol, but my name is LaNeikqua I am also 5'2. I was chuny for a better term all of my life or since I could remember. I was just used to it. But now I'm 21 single mother of the most wonderful two year old son and I'm ready to finally be happy with myself. I don't want my son to see me as a 203 pound woman who couldn't play with him be

    Hello Jen,
I am really glad you posted this because I am 5'0" and am at 232 lbs. I started MFP with my co-workers. We have decided to incorporate a Lifestyle Challenge (not necessarily a weight loss) on our team at work so we have all signed up for MFP. I work in a call center all day long so I sit down and have gained a ton of weight. My happiest weight was when i was at 135-140 lbs. I was excited to see that you are similar to my size. I would love to hear from you and work together to get into shape. My co-workers are on my friends list on my homepage. I should tell you so far I am watching what I eat and walking. Nothing strenuous. As long as I can see results I am happy. I had a brief setback recently and gained back some weight but I am back on-track. My heaviest weight was 239 lbs. so any little bit helps. My ideal weight goal is 150 but I'll take 160.
Way to go on your new committment! I am proud of you! This should be an interesting journey.

Hi :) My names Tasha, I'm 5ft 4, 150lbs and just turned 20. I've lost 2 stone, but the last stone and toning is being a pain! I'm also looking for people to help stay motivated and friends to talk to about weight loss. Hope to speak to you all soon :) x
