So today I have the "hungry horrors'! Any suggestions on what I should be eating to keep my hunger levels steady?

Protein, protein, protein! Seriously though, all of the protein I eat keeps me from being hungry. I almost forget what being hungry feels like! For even more satisfaction combine that with a complex whole grain carb, a good fat and a fruit for a quick energy boost.

I would have a salad with greens, a variety of vegetables, boiled eggs, avocado, chicken or shrimp and a vinaigrette dressing with a quarter/half pita and some strawberries.

I eat a hard boiled egg when I'm hungry. or 100 cal. pack of nuts. I agree with the previous post- eat more protein! and eat every couple of hours...

I usually have a lot of protien with my meals so if I need something extra in between I munch on celery and carrots.
  • I am going to post something different than the protein. I eat a very high protein/fat diet and am also hungry (I've eaten that way for 15 years) I have big muscles but also a little more fat than I'd like. Since my trainer has been watching my diet this past week, she is making me get rid of processed food and eat more raw food.

She didn't say anything about this making me less hungry. But anyhow, the past 2 days I've eaten large homemade salads for lunch and dinner and today's snack was a cup of broccoli (thereabout) and a cup of cauliflower (with a little yoghurt dip) and my hunger has gone away!!!!

Try eating some very healthy vegetables and see what that does!!!

Thanks for all the tips! Today's snack is going to be a light cheese stick (protein) and 6 cherries.

Dip veggies in hummus - one of my favorite snacks. Baby carrots, cucumbers, sugar snap peas, orange or red bell peppers, cherry tomatoes - all delicious & filling, and so good in the hummus.

Sliced apple dipped in peanut or almond butter is another good one.

Canteloupe! It's high in fiber, filling and kills a sweet tooth!
