should i be eating more protein or more carbs

i am exercising 7 days a week about 30-45 minutes a day give or take.I do a combinationn of weights, strength training and cardio. When i first put my info in for the amount of calories. At first it was to lose a pound a week with 2190 calories with mostly carbs and the fat and protein were about the same in grams a day. I then changed it to 1.5 a week and calories changed to 1830 calories with fat being 61g, protein 69g.

I then trying to manually put in my info in and i have the calories the same to give me the 1.5 loss a week and i changed my fat to be 20%, carbs 30% can protein 50%.

I am wondering if i should be eating more carbs then protein or vice versa. I have 124lbs that i want to lose andi currently weight 284. A little confused about where i should be for calories ( if the 1830 calories is too low) and if i should be eating more carbs then protein-- or i should manual plug in my percentages like i have above.

sorry if its a bit confusing to read.
Thanks in advance.

Also want add too-- that with the calories bei8ng 2190 previously i always maintained well below 2000 staying in the 1800 range. is that too less for my goal

I always reccomend starting your macros with protein. I think you could even go higher protein to around 100g a day. After that, just adjust your carbs and fats accordingly. Personally, I like the split of '40% carb', '35% protein', '25% Fat'.

I've lost 45 lbs in 6 months now on a ratio of 40% fat, 30-35% protein, 25-30% carbs, with nearly all carbs coming from fruits or sweet potatoes.

I couldn't be more thrilled with the food choices and subsequent results that a breakdown like this offers.

I generally vote for more protein, but 50% protein is a lot of protein!

I do 40% carbs, 30% fat 30% protein, and I try to err on the side of more protein. This approach has been really comfortable, and does not make me feel like I'm limiting anything, which for me is really important.

After talking to my MFP friend, I have stuck to my 1830 calories a day for a 1.5 weight loss a week and changed my carbs to 30%, protein 30% and fats 40%.

    Thanks :)

My macros are set for 40 carbs, 30 protein, 30 fats but I eat healthy fats every meal and I'm often over on the fats.

I'm not sure but doesn't too much protein cause trouble for your kidneys?

i'm PRETTY SURE you would need a LOT of protein/day to experience this... like more than 2g/lb body weight...and i think its not as bad if you balance it out with carbs.. not 100% sure though.. :)
