Knee/Ankle Pain doing 30 Day Shred

I've been doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred for 9 days now and for the first 6 or 7 days, my knees and ankles felt a little sore but were fine after the workout. Now, my knees and ankles hurt pretty badly and I think I've managed to get "water on the knee". I know a lot of it is due to my lack of a decent workout shoe, but I don't wanna stop doing the workout until I get shoes (money is tight). The static lunges with bicep curls are the ones that hurt the most. Does anyone else have this problem, and if you do, what can you suggest? Will a knee or ankle brace help?

    Try stretching more before even starting her warmup.

    I just completed 30DS and have had knee trouble all from level 2 onto the end. I think my issue is my shoes though. My knees hurt as well as pop and click. The lunges are what seem to give me the most trouble. I am going to look into getting some new shoes within the next week (from a speciality running store) and see if it makes any difference.
